Baby Shower!

This weekend we had a baby shower for my cousin Denise. She is having a baby boy, and he is due Oct. 17th. We had the party at my Aunt Sheree's house and it was a blast! Kristen came down and did an amazingly wonderful maternity photo shoot! She really needs to update her photo blog so y'all can see them! The party was really fun, and it was great to get everyone together for such a happy occasion! I can't wait to meet little Conner! So, I don't have any pictures of the shower because I was taking them with my mom's camera. But, I do have a couple pictures of the cake and blanket I made.

 Me working hard...

Thanks for taking my picture Jordan!

All finished!

Blanket!
I knew my bubble letter writing skills were good for something!
If you know me, you know how I feel about corners and binding! Not bad if I do say so myself.

Complete! First ever applique! I think I like it!

It was a lot of work, and could not have done it without Jordan! She was an amazing helper and did most of the grunt work. She was always ready to help and did a lot of the not so fun jobs, like cleaning up big messes!!! All she wanted to do was read her book, but I made her work, work, work.

Jordan, Thank you!

You were awesome!
 Jordan took this picture too!

I hope you get to finish your book!

If you want to see more pictures of the shower check out my mom's facebook.

Sam, you did a wonderful job on your cake and quilt! I really like bees, and I love the way you put them on your cake. You are so talented!

What book was Jordan reading?

Man that cake looks beautiful...was it painful to cut it up?

Actually cutting it up in the end is my favorite part! I would love to throw one out a window or put a firework in it, and make it explode. I know a little crazy!

I think the cake looks great. You are getting really good. The quilt looks great also. I'm sure it was even better in person. I know how much you care about your corners and binding it looks great. Keep up the good work. School is coming soon so finish any last minute sewing and stuff before the homework starts. Get it done and move on to the things you love to do.
